Here is a general overview of how your day of the hair transplant procedure unfolds.
When you arrive on the morning of your procedure, you will be greeted by one of our staff members. You will then meet our doctor and the team and share your concerns if any with the team. It’s natural to have questions and doubts and we are there for you in every second of the process. So, feel free to ask away anything that you’ve in mind.
The due amount is collected before the procedure. You will be asked to fill out some basic forms while your doctor and surgical technicians prepare for the hair transplant procedure. A nurse will take your blood pressure and make sure you have followed the pre-operative instructions carefully.
Before the procedure, photographs of your hair are taken from various angles for appropriate planning.

At the start of the day, Dr. Pramod gathers his team to discuss the case, ensuring everyone is aligned with the procedure plan. Meanwhile, in another area of the clinic, all equipment is thoroughly sterilized and sanitized to meet the highest standards of safety. The procedure room is then meticulously prepared, with each piece of equipment carefully organized for optimal efficiency, ensuring a smooth and successful hair transplant experience.
Dr. Pramod strongly recommends hair trimming in males before the procedure because it will expose the bald area completely, helping in designing the hairline and better planning the procedure. After trimming your hair, we proceed with hairline design (if required). Dr. Pramod is renowned for creating natural-looking hairlines. The procedure will not move forward until you and your doctor are completely satisfied with the agreed-upon approach and design.
You will then be led into one of our state-of-the-art procedure rooms. These rooms are specifically designed for hair transplantation, facilitating optimal efficiency and client comfort.
Your procedure begins with the administration of local anesthesia to ensure you feel no pain. You may experience a small prick-like sensation on your scalp while receiving the anesthesia. However, with the use of cooling techniques and parallel vibration, any discomfort during anesthesia administration is minimal.
The anesthesia begins working within five minutes, and then the hair transplant procedure will commence. Following the Direct Hair Transplant (DHT) Technique, the surgeon and his highly-skilled team prepare small slits on the receiving area of the scalp to implant the grafts. Once the desired number of slits is prepared, the hair follicles are extracted as a graft from the donor area and implanted directly in the slits created previously.
During the procedure, you can watch television or use your mobile device.
A session of hair transplantation typically lasts around 6-8 hours for 3000-3500 grafts. There will be 3-4 breaks in a 6-8 hour session, including 2-3 short breaks of about 15 minutes each and one long break of around 45 minutes. During breaks, you will be able to walk around, stretch your legs, use the washroom, or have meals.
If the procedure requires more than 3500 grafts, it may be continued on the next day. You will return home after the first day of the procedure and come back the next day to complete the remaining procedure.
